  • Working Principle: HC-SR501 PIR motion sensor detects 10μm infrared radiation emitted by the human body through pyroelectric sensors. Temperature changes cause charge imbalance and release electrical signals. After the sensor signal is amplified and filtered, the chip determines whether there is a human body approaching and outputs a high/low level signal
  • Two Trigger Modes: Non-repetitive triggering or repetitive triggering can be selected by jumper. Non-repetitive triggering means that after the sensing output is high level, the output will automatically change from high level to low level as soon as the delay time period ends; repetitive triggering means that after the sensing output is high level, if the human body moves within its sensing range during the delay time period, the output will remain high level until the human body leaves and changes to low level
  • Adjustable Sensing Distance and Sensing Delay: Rotate the distance potentiometer clockwise to increase the sensing distance (about 7 meters), otherwise, the sensing distance decreases (about 3 meters); rotate the delay potentiometer clockwise to increase the sensing delay (about 300S), otherwise, the sensing delay decreases (about 0.5S)
  • Light-sensitive Control and Temperature Compensation Can Be Set: Light-sensitive control can be set, and it will not sense during the day or when the light is strong; when the temperature is higher than 30 degrees Celsius in summer, the detection distance becomes shorter, and temperature compensation can make certain performance compensation
  • Installation Requirements: When installing the sensor, the direction of the probe dual element should be parallel to the direction in which human activity is most frequent, to ensure that the probe dual element can sense human movement when the human body passes by
